  • As part of Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio's revitalization work taking place throughout SE and SW Massillon, the vacant lot located at 519 Tremont Ave SW will be converted into a pocket park, which will include a cobblestone walkway, beautiful landscape and trees, new fencing, and sitting area. Pocket parks are created to beautify a neighborhood through a simple enhancement of a vacant, blighted lot. The redeveloped area provides residents with a quaint space that is both visibly appealing and usable. This project is funded in part through the Stark County Health Department's Creating Healthy Communities Program.

Please note that lunch will be provided.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio
As a grassroots Christian housing ministry serving Stark, Carroll, Tuscarawas, Harrison, and Jefferson Counties, Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio is driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live. People partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering, or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.
