- The Timken Company Home Repair | Tyson Family
- Kevin Keeney

Tonya inherited her childhood home from her late mother, a property that has been in the Tyson family since the early 1970s. She cherishes the opportunity to live in this home, a place rich with fond memories. Eager to preserve its condition, Tonya applied for the Home Repair Program, seeking a partnership with Habitat for Humanity to address much-needed repairs. Her goal is to ensure that the home remains a place where more memories can be made.
Tonya served in the United States Navy from 2000 to 2020. Initially working as an Inventory Control Specialist, she later transitioned into a role as a Logistics Specialist. Over her 20 years of service, Tonya achieved the rank of E-6 and received numerous awards, including the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Navy Recruiting Service Ribbon, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the National Defense Service Medal. She retired with an honorable discharge.
Unfortunately, Tonya now requires a walking cane due to a combination of her service-related physical condition and rheumatoid arthritis. Given her limitations, the Home Repair Program will focus primarily on exterior work to accommodate her needs. This includes fixing the roof, cleaning and installing new gutters, painting the front porch and the home’s foundation, as well as updating the front porch rails. Additionally, the existing deck will be removed and replaced with steps and a wheelchair-accessible ramp.
Tonya’s commitment to service is a family affair; her husband Kevin is a 23-year Army veteran.
