Josh • Natesha • Kyra (3)
Family and Current Housing The Lidderdale family are native residents of Massillon, Ohio, and are excited about raising their daughter in the close-knit community. However, finding affordable and decent rental homes in the area has been challenging for them. They also attempted to get a conventional mortgage, but they were advised by the bank to improve their credit and increase their savings first. To save money, they have temporarily moved in with Josh’s family, where several family members currently live. In this arrangement, Josh, Natesha, and Kyra share a bedroom. The house they are currently living in has visible signs of water damage, and the broken gutters cause issues during heavy rains. Despite the challenges, Josh and Natesha are determined to provide a better life for their daughter. They recently got married in July 2023 and are committed to building a bright future together as a family. Josh works as a Material Handler and Forklift Driver at HP Products, where he has been employed for six years. Natesha is currently employed at Tractor Supply. In their free time, the family enjoys spending quality time together, playing sports, and watching movies. Josh is a fan of the Steelers and enjoys bowling in local leagues, while Natesha has a passion for reading mystery books. Kyra, their daughter, loves animals and unicorns.
A Bright Future
The Lidderdale family has completed all the Habitat ECO homebuyer education classes, and they are dedicated to improving their financial situation. They feel well-prepared to take care of their new home and often share their insights with other families in the program. They look forward to hosting family gatherings in their new home. When asked what message they want to convey to Kyra about their new home, Josh expressed, “Our future is going to be fun in our new home, and you’ll have your own room.” Providing Kyra with a safe, decent, and affordable place to call home is their primary motivation for working hard towards homeownership.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio
As a grassroots Christian housing ministry serving Stark, Carroll, Tuscarawas, Harrison, and Jefferson Counties, Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio is driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live. People partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering, or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.
